Venetta (Betty Mulat) is an Ethiopian-Canadian music producer, DJ, visual artist, and event organizer. A dynamic and vibrant selector, Venetta’s energetic and unpredictable mixes & productions reveal a relentless appetite for acid, electro, and techno. She is also the co-founder of NuZi Collective, a platform focused on uplifting and representing black & brown womxn, trans womxn & gender non-comforming individuals in the Vancouver electronic music scene. Venetta is committed to reclaiming the black & brown roots of electronic dance music and creating black political spaces as a source of empowerment.

Venetta is based in Vancouver on unceded Indigenous land belonging to the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations’’.
